SEGMENT: DROVE MYSELF AND MY BROTHER AND HIS CLASSMATE TO SRJC FROM SEBASTAPOL 1954

My Brother was also taking classes at Santa Rosa Junior College and he asked me to drive him and his gal classmate to SRJC who lived in Sebastopol a short distance from Petaluma. I drove up to her parent's ranch and parked at the end of a dirt road leading to the ranch house. As I was waiting I notice that the mailbox sitting on a 2 by 4 and had a stuffed dog lying on the top on his back.

When the girl and my Brother returned to the car I asked what the stuffed black and white dog was laying on its back on the mailbox. She giggled and said it was one of her Father's comic newspaper characters; he called this one "SNOOPY". Her Father was Charles M. Schulz.
