SEGMENT: TOP GUN MOVIE 1986 AND OUR DECK
In 1986 we had purchased 3 condos on the beach in Oceianside. We lived right on the Strand and our parking was in garages off the beach.
During the shooting of the movie there would be times of taking a break for whatever reason. On more than one incident of "Take Five" we had the three stars visiting and sitting on our deck and looking at the ocean. They were really nice to chat with and it was an honor to have them visit our deck.
Years later in 1992 when attending a Show West for motion pictures in Las Vegas, I was approached by Meg Ryan and pulled over Tom Cruise to say hello after all the years.
They were both very nice. Meg had on sun glasses because the lights were bright in the presentation room full of motion picture theater owners. She said the lights bothered her that day. What a doll, she even gave me a hug!
