SEGMENT: TO TELL THE TRUTH NBC TV 2001
My daughter in law Rae DeVito was on the NBC To Tell The Truth TV show in 1991. She was asked as others were, if they knew of anyone interesting enough to fool a set of TV Show Judges. She gave them me name and I went to NBC in Burbank for an interview.
I filled out the paperwork regarding my experiences and they said I had plenty of a variety of experience and offered me to get on the show. I arrived early in Burbank and met all the Judges and contestants to be on the show, including me.
The show subject was an engineer company owner by whose name was Jerry Kowalski. A company in Europe pretended to making French fries and wanted a tech company in San Marcos, CA to send them a capacitor activator trigger like the ones they sold to the U.S. Government, they didn't respond to the company in Europe instead they called the FBI.
After an investigation the FBI determined the capacitor activator trigger was wanted to be used to set off an atomic bomb being made my Saddam Hussein in Iraq. A sting was setup in Europe and all the participants were arrested. The news tried to doubt Saddam Hussein did not have WMD's and this display on NBC TV proved that he did.
I spent about an hour with Jerry Kowalski and he told me and the other contestant and he unveiled much more than the show portrayed. I won two out of three from the judges and won a thousand dollars, was fun. I loved the experience.
